Pat Pope has been a successful freelance photographer since graduating from the London College of Printing in 1993. Initially specializing in music and reportage and more recently branching out into fashion. Pat shot memorable early sessions with the likes of Radiohead, Pulp and Suede and has worked over the years with artists as diverse as David Bowie and The Backstreet Boys.
His work in music and portraiture has appeared in many publications worldwide and he has a photograph in the National Portrait Gallery in London. Pat is regularly commissioned by record companies both for CD artwork and press and publicity shots as well as working alongside design and advertising groups. His pictures have been used in many books including volumes on Oasis, Dave Gilmour, Gilbert & George, David Bowie and The Verve. As well as music clients Pat has photographed actors and politicians including Richard E Grant, Rufus Sewell, Luc Besson, Edward Woodward and Tony Blair.
His work has seen him travel extensively, both to more inaccessible areas such as Beirut and Sarajevo as well as regular jaunts to the US, Australia and Japan. He has been a regular contributor to, amongst others: NME, The Times Magazine, Q, Elle, Rolling Stone, Maxim, Melody Maker and Observer Magazine.
Recently he has been working on several projects including Homlessness and a series of Children in Uniform
